Liquid Applied Air Barrier Products
Air Barrier Systems are comprised of two products which are assembled together to provide a complete barrier to air leakage through the building enclosure. This system essentially “wraps” the building shell and ensures that it protects the building from the effects of air leakage. It provides a full building envelope energy efficient system.

Air Barrier
Acu-Air Shield
Developed to prevent the movement of air and water through a building envelope, Acu-Air Shield is a vapor-permeable component part of the Air Barrier system. It is a fiber-reinforced acrylic, flashing-grade caulk for seams, joints, counter-flashing, cracks and gaps around rough openings. It can also be used to seal around penetrations and countersunk fasteners.

Acu-Weather Shield
Acu-Weather Shield is a water-based, liquid-applied, elastomeric, vapor-permeable membrane. An acrylic-based coating, it dries to form a rubber-like protective membrane that resists air leakage and water penetration when applied to a variety of exterior sheathing including OSB, plywood, glass mat gypsum, concrete and concrete masonry units.
